Mathmos Thaw

The Mathmos Thaw allows you to create your very own ice candle, making for a funky lighting system that really is cool. You simply fill the base mould with water and pop it in the freezer overnight where it will transform into a perfect ice cylinder. Pop the ice shade out of the mould and place it on the stand, light a tea light, and hey presto you have a moody light that over the next three hours will slowly melt (handily back into the base mould for re-freezing) creating drippingly cool glacial lighting effects. Now your can really lie back and chill. Features: Mathmos Thaw allows you to create your very own (oxymoronic) ice candle. The brainchild of designer Mathew Jackson. A sleek, stainless steel design. A white silicone mould. A plastic ice cap. A tea light candle. Simply place the water-filled mould in the freezer overnight (required freeze time approximately 8 hours).
