Mathmos Tuba
The new Mathmos Tuba is an illuminated blown glass "horn" (hence the name) - a colour changing, sound and motion activated lighting feature that captures attention. Tuba is about the "magic" of not really knowing whether a space has depth or not. What looks like a solid illuminated disc is actually an open space, a void, brightly illuminated by LED lights. A magical effect is created - you can put your hand in the space, but you dont know it's a space until you put your hand there! The Mathmos Tuba reacts to sensing your hand entering the "void" by changing colour. Alternatively, the Mathmos Tuba can be set to react to music, cycling through a colour changing sequence along with the "beat" or your favourite music. A truly magical object for adults to play with.
