After a buttock-clenchingly tense flight to 12,000ft, it's time to ignore common sense and leap from the plane (securely strapped to a qualified instructor) for a 7,000ft freefall at speeds of around 120mph. At 5000ft your instructor deploys the ‘chute and you'll float gently into the landing zone. Gulp!
