Event Video Production

The process of event filming requires the hire of certain individuals who think best on their feet, and who react quickly to situations that may arise on the spur of the moment. Oftentimes when problems arise, there is little to no time to react, and decisions must be made quickly and accurately, with little to no room for error. For this reason, 21st Century employ experienced cameramen and directors wholly familiar with the process of event filming and direction, ensuring that problems are minimised and that the resultant footage is captured succinctly and in its entirety.

Depending on your event requirements, our camera teams are formed of 1, 2, 3, 4 and/or 5 camera setups, with close up, mid and wide angle filming conduced simultaneously to ensure the maximum flexibility and variation possible during the editing process. We utilise a variety of HD cameras to ensure footage compatibility, and an assortment of lenses to provide depth of field and a cinematic look where relevant. We also diligently maintain our own stock of optical and solid state storage media, filters, chargers, tripods and a host of other related paraphernalia.

In addition to camera technology, lighting is a crucial and often overlooked aspect to successful event filming and production. If time allows, and our team have access to your venue in advance of the event, please afford yourself the luxury of our extensive knowledge and experience by inviting one of our lighting cameramen to visit your venue to make an assessment of your lighting needs. This can make the world of difference, both to the mood and flavour of the event itself, and the quality of the resultant footage.

Our lighting options are as wide as they are extensive: from conventional tungsten and fluorescent lighting options, to LED lighting with colour temperature selection: all chosen with the specific aim of ensuring that your video is captured at the highest quality possible.
