Porsche 911 Carrera

Porsche 911 Carrera

911 Carrera Porsche Many Porsche luddites were shocked when, in 1997, Porsche revealed the model 996 incarnation of the 911. Why? Because the new car featured a water-cooled engine, unlike the Porsche engines of old, which were always air-cooled. No matter. The new 911 is still the latest evolution of a motoring icon with a heritage stretching back 35 years. The new car is also longer and wider than the previous but still bears the distinctive 911 profile and phenomenal performance. Shown here in cabriolet guise, the 911 is also available in coupe, with or without 4 wheel drive, stunning GT3 and as of recently, shattering Turbo form. As of yet, though, no new targa. We wait with eager anticipation.
