Steve Dean is a science fiction author and writer including five novels, an RPG book and a collection of interlinked stories in circulation, all available on Amazon, and now also writes material for the gaming industry.
Steve Dean was born and still lives in Nottingham, England. He has one wife, two dogs, three children and a growing collection of dragons. He left school at fifteen to work in a pet shop. Over the next few years he had several other jobs, before settling for a time as a computer hardware engineer.
He first began writing after reading a badly written book and rashly declaring, quite loudly, that he could do better. The writing and the engineering overlapped for a while, with Steve removing fluff and dead insects from a variety of IT equipment by day, and writing science fiction and fantasy novels and short stories by night. Most of his work contains at least some humour.
Eventually, the company he worked for closed down, and he took this as a sign to write full-time and has been a freelancer ever since.
His other hobbies include: reading, writing, growing cacti, gaming – both video and table-top – films, walking his dogs, messing with technology, and carpentry.
He currently has five novels, an RPG book and a collection of interlinked stories in circulation, all available on Amazon, and now also writes material for the gaming industry.
His philosophy is live and let live, and he often wonders why society needs so many labels. His official website is www.steve-dean.com.
His favourite quote is: “Never laugh at live dragons.” J.R.R Tolkien, The Hobbit.
